Plane flight slight disappointing but overall definitely an unforgetable experience.

We all loved this trip..there were 6 of us travelling as a group. We were picked up on time from our hotel by mini bus. We were taken to Boulder Airport and then weighed and given a general safety video. This was very hard to hear due to the noise in the airport. We flew in a 19 seater plane with information given to us by pre-recorded tape using earphones. We felt it would have been nice to have had some personal input from a guide at this point. We were a little scared once on the plane as it seemed too small to deal with the slightly bumpy conditions over the mountains and Hoover Dam.However, all was fine though we would have liked to have seen more of the Dam, it really is just a fleeting glimpse as you fly over. We also would have liked to have seen more of the history of the Indians that resided at the Reserve. Instead there were a few tables of jewellery for sale by a few very bored looking vendors. Dinner was good and plentiful consisted of mash potato, corn on the cob, a choice of either beef stew or fried chicken and refried beans along with a bottle of water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate but served in a very slap-dash way on polystyrene plates school canteen style. I believe that we could have done with just a snack here or, better still, a more authentic experience. The canyon is amazing but you need to watch your step as there are no hand rails or barriers..and its a long way down! We would like to have had time to look in the shop at the terminal but the bus service to get back to here was so overcrowded that we were running really late and had no opportunity to do so. The shop is missing out on a lot of revenue because of this. Another quick flight back to Boulder City airport and then a short wait for the coach transfer back to our hotel. All very well executed and, for us, good value for money.
