FAQ

Why do I need to give you my body weight if I'm taking an air or helicopter tour?
For your safety, the aircraft must be weight balanced. The passenger body weights are entered as computer data, which determines where you will sit on the aircraft.

Can ashes be dropped from a helicopter or airplane?
Ashes cannot be dropped from any of the air tours. You would need to charter a private helicopter or airplane.

Are the airplanes & helicopters pressurized?
No, smaller, low altitude aircraft are not pressurized. The altitude is not high enough for this to be necessary.

Is the Grand Canyon temperature warmer than in Las Vegas?
The temperature is typically 5-10 degrees warmer than the temperature in Las Vegas in the bottom of the canyon, the rim of the canyon is usually about 15 degrees cooler.

What is the best time of day to take pictures at the Grand Canyon?
Typically the afternoon has less haze and the sun hits the canyon just right. Need to say that it's beautiful at all times but the afternoon is better for pictures.

What is the difference between the South Rim, West Rim & North Rim?
The South Rim is the wider and deeper part of the canyon. It is the more commercialized part of the Grand Canyon. The West Rim is just as beautiful, but far more rustic and undeveloped. This part of the canyon is also known as "Indian Country" due to the number of Indian Reservations that occupy the land. The North Rim has higher cliff faces and more forest like settings. They're all beautiful with awesome views.

Once I make my reservation, will I receive tickets for my tour?

You will receive an email confirmation (voucher) with your confirmation number. Please print this and present it to the tour operator on the tour day. It is very important that you print your Voucher and bring it with you! The voucher is your proof of purchase and ticket; so please treat it as you would cash and keep it safe.

Are there any further discounts for children, senior citizens, travel club members, multiple bookings, etc?
All of our tours are already discounted off the normal retail prices. We guarantee the lowest all-inclusive prices and when senior/child prices are available you will see them listed on the information pages. Unfortunately, we cannot offer additional discounts on the tours. For groups of 20 or more passengers we may have special group rates. Please click on the "Group Services" link at the bottom of the page for more information.

How can I check the safety record for your tour companies?
Safety is our biggest concern and we only select tour companies with excellent safety records. You can check safety records for air tours through the Federal Aviation Administration. Their website is www.faa.gov. For land tours, you can check safety records online at the Department of Transportation website: www.dot.gov.

Can your tours accommodate disabled travelers?
Depending on the tour operator and their vehicles, disabled travelers may be accommodated, but it is not guaranteed with all operators. We encourage disabled travelers to contact us by clicking on the Contact US link at the bottom of this website for more specific accessibility information for our tours.

Will my tour be cancelled if the weather is bad?
In rare instances, severe weather may prohibit your pilot or driver from safely operating your tour. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to weather, you may either reschedule for another day or receive a full refund.

Will my tour be cancelled if it is undersold?
We offer guaranteed departures once you receive your confirmation. Some of our tours do require a minimum to operate but it is rare that they do not meet that minimum requirement. The tours we offer often sell out in advance.

Are the tours available in a language other than English?
Sometimes tours are available in a variety of languages. Contact us for further information if you require a non-English language tour.

What hotels do you pick up from?
Please refer to the Tour/Activity Details page for hotel pick up information for any specific tour or activity. Hotel pick up locations can vary by tour, so please check the Details page to verify your hotel is included.

What if our tour bus is delayed due to traffic? Will our tour time be shortened?
Will your tour time be shortened? No. We make every attempt possible to ensure the tour duration described. Naturally, we cannot control any restrictions that may be imposed by attractions being visited on the tour.

What should I wear on my tour? Should I bring any special items?
Make sure you are dressed appropriately for the time of year. In the summertime, you should wear cool clothing and hats are a good idea. Protect yourself with sun block and drink lots of water. In the winter months, layer your clothing. For water based tours, many passengers choose to secure valuables in waterproof bags, and, of course, your swimsuit is always a good idea for tours with water activities. Don't forget your camera and your voucher!

There are 4 people in my party but we want to make separate reservations with our own credit cards. How do we make sure we are on the same tour bus/airplane?
No problem! You will need to make 4 separate reservations. When making the reservation, please specify, in the special request box, which other passengers are in your party and that you wish to be on the same tour bus/airplane.

Will I be charged if I need to change my tour date or if someone in my party is unable to go on the tour?
Any cancellation is subject to a 100% per person cancellation fee if the tour is cancelled within 24 hours of the tour date. There is no charge for changes outside of 24 hours, however cancellations outside of 24 hours may incur a $25 per person administration fee.

It's my birthday/anniversary/wedding/honeymoon! Can I arrange for a little extra for my trip?
Please note your special day in the special request box when reserving your tour and we'll be sure to let everybody know. Typically staff can say or sing happy birthday if requested and perhaps a toast with lunch, depending on the flexibility of our tour providers. Cake can occasionally be pre-ordered at extra cost.

Are gratuities included in the tour price?
Tips / gratuities are generally not included with any tour company and are optional at your discretion.

I have seen cheaper tours advertised elsewhere although you guarantee the lowest price.
We are confident that our prices are the lowest available online or at the destination, and we guarantee to match any cheaper price you may find. We are a proud member of the Bureau of Consumer Affairs [is this true?], Better Business Bureau and Chamber of Commerce and do not falsely advertise teaser or misleading prices. With a little investigation you will find that some of our competitiors' advertised prices are not the actual price of the tour -- the price advertised often does not include tax, fuel fees, or park entry fees.

How soon should we reserve our tours?
Tours do sell out! Some tours sell out more quickly than others, but, we do recommend booking as soon as possible so you can lock in our current prices and avoid last-minute booking fees. Please remember that if you arrive without a tour reservation, we may be sold out and if seats are available we cannot guarantee you will receive the lowest price. If you prefer not to book in advance, you can give us a call, and we can usually accommodate some last-minute bookings. As a reminder there are no charges for changes made prior to 24 hours before your tour if you need to maintain some flexibility in your schedule, but wish to book in advance.

How long have you been in business?
We have been providing high-quality sightseeing tours at low prices for over 10 years. Read more About Us. You can also see ratings and reviews of our tours from real travelers on the tour/activity details page.
